Preparing for a 2000 KM Road Trip in a Pandemic

In March of 2020, we thought of this crazy idea of driving 2000 plus kilometers across the east coast of India – from Bangalore (southern part of India) to Kolkata (eastern part of India). It was in the beginning part of coronavirus global pandemic, and we decided to prepare ourselves for the journey.

We made a list of what we need for such a travel. Here’s how that goes:

  1. N95 Masks
  2. Protective Eye-wear
  3. Surgical Gloves
  4. Face Shields
  5. PPE Suits
  6. Hand Wash Liquid
  7. Hand Sanitizer

Now, back in March 2020, the situation was different from now. The e-commerce websites did not offer these things as much as they are delivering now. So we had to improvise.

First of all, we were unable to find N95 masks. Then we started reading about what is called an N95 mask. We understood that there are different standards of masks available. FFP1, FFP2 are European standards; N95, N99 are US standards, KN95 is Chinese standard. FFP2 is equivalent to or better than N95. But we were not able to find FFP2 either. We ordered some N95 masks but instead, they delivered FFP1s. We checked what is the harm in using FFP1s. We understood that FFP1s does protect you from more than 80% of oil based particles and 95% of non oil particles. N95 protects from more than 95% of particles (oil+non oil based). Since covid19 virus is non oil particle, therefore we deduced that it means same level of protection from covid19 virus. We ordered FFP1s masks from VENUS company at bulk. We kept looking for N95 as well, but at least now we have something in hand. But still we were not ready in our mind. We were not able to fully convince ourselves about the efficacy of these masks and we decided to wait a few more days. Finally on the 15th march, we received N95 Masks from the same VENUS company (V4400) and then we started our journey on 16th march. Below you can see the masks we took.

We wanted to order Swimming Goggles for the eyes, but none of the e-commerce companies were delivered those. All were out of stock. So we ordered the next best thing, which is the protective sun glasses. Although it covers lesser than the swimming goggles, they are adequate if combined with distance measures. Below you can see the glasses we used then along with the swimming goggles for comparison.

We did not have trouble in ordering surgical gloves. We ordered two boxes of 100 gloves each. We decided to use them in use and throw manner. We however could not get PPE suits and we also felt that they would not be necessary if we carry extra clothes which we would change at every place of stay at nights during the journey.

We could also get hand wash dispenser bottles but we knew that hand wash is not always a feasible mechanism during the journey. We wanted to have hand sanitizers. But unfortunately, we could not get any hand sanitizer. So we decided then it is better for us to make it ourselves. We watched the videos on youtube about how to create these hand sanitizers. We arranged the materials needed for it. Ordering raw materials were not a problem at all. We could get ethanol and glycerine. And then we made our own sanitizer for our journey by mixing 75% ethanol and 25% glycerine. It was very sticky but we now had our weapons ready 🙂

We also knew that on this trip we had to stay at hotels. So we prepared ourselves for that as well.

  1. Packed our own set of personal care essentials , towels, bed-sheets soap etc .
  2. Sanitized cellphones frequently because that is one of the most touched object.
  3. Rubbed hands using alcohol-based sanitizer
  4. Also disinfected sanitizer bottle

We made a big deal with our sanitation in all public places , touching door handles etc. – you should not leave any stones untouched regarding self-protection. It’s for your best interest to survive pandemic.

So we took the following with us:

  1. Multiple bedsheets and pillow covers
  2. Multiple towels
  3. Multiple use and throw dinner plates and cutleries
  4. Bunch of tissue papers
  5. Our own soaps, shampoos etc.

Keep multiples of these because you wont have time or facilities for washing and reuse. Make sure to have a separate bag for keeping used items.

I hope this blog post helps you prepare for your journey. Have a safe journey ahead. And do check out my detail trip blog as well:

Bengaluru to Kolkata by Roadtrip

In March of 2020, we thought of this crazy idea of driving 2000 plus kilometers across the east coast of India  – from Bangalore in southern part of India to Kolkata in eastern part of India.

Actually come to rethink of it, it probably was one of the wisest decisions of our life so far. As the CoronaVirus pandemic started to break out in India from late February, we were observing the actions taken by other countries.

Coronavirus situation in March: Source: https://www.thehindu.com/data/data-where-does-india-stand-on-the-coronavirus-curve/article31137679.ece

Most of the countries were talking about lockdown as a measure of slowing down the spread of the virus. We started expecting that a nationwide lockdown might be implemented very soon in India as well.

Coronavirus Lockdown start dates: Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_responses_to_the_COVID-19_pandemic#Lockdowns

From beginning of march we started planning for it and we started our journey on 16th of March. It took us 4 days to reach Kolkata and we went for self quarantine on 19th March in Kolkata.  The Govt of India announced nationwide lockdown on 24th March at 8 PM with an immediate effect. So as it turns out, we completed our trip just before the lockdown that continued for next 2-3 months.

Many people were surely mulling on the idea for travelling to their hometown. And if you put an ear to the social circles, you could hear all kinds of opinions. Some said its safer to stay where you are. And some like us thought it is always better to get back to our near and dear ones in our hometown at a time of global crisis like this.

We had to travel back to our hometown Kolkata because we had to support our elderly parents during this difficult time. The “why part” was clear to us. But then the next question was obviously about “how”. How should I return to our hometown? By Air or Road or via Train? Air and Train travel included the risk of traveling with other commuters.

We definitely avoided airport because the risk was much higher there. Back then, not much safety measures were being taken by the airports beyond some basic checks. For example, the airlines were operating as usual with regular model of sitting arrangements and food services etc. Train was about risking ourselves with unknown co commuters for 2 long days. So instead we decided to trust on our beloved Maruti Swift Dzire which has been our partner in so many road trips. We started planning our road trip.

But before we could start, we had to prepare ourselves. We made a list of what we need for such a travel. Here’s how that goes:

  1. N95 Masks
  2. Protective Eye-wear
  3. Surgical Gloves
  4. Face Shields
  5. PPE Suits
  6. Hand Wash Liquid
  7. Hand Sanitizer

Now, back in March 2020, the situation was different from now. The e-commerce websites did not offer these things as much as they are delivering now. So we had to improvise.

To Drive or Not to Drive

We had no doubt about who would drive during the journey. We took a driver. Some may feel that driving themselves may be a good idea. Considering the long-distance and tiring journey, we are always in favor of suggesting that you take drivers. However, during a pandemic, it makes even more sense to take a driver. You don’t want your anxiety to take over you while you are driving one of the longest routes.

But getting a driver was not easy either. We could somehow arrange it. And in case, you are finding it difficult to get a driver, we suggest you to also check out

https://mydrivercenter.com

We asked our driver to reach our place on 16th March morning at 6 am. We wanted to start early because we wanted to reach Vijayawada at the end of Day 1.

Route Plan

For anyone traveling from Bangalore to Kolkata, the route includes these major cities

  1. Vijayawada
  2. Vizag
  3. Bhubaneswar

The first trip is from Bangalore to Vijayawada. And that has three options.

We took the shortest route from Bangalore via Chittoor, Nellore, Ongole, Guntur to Vijaywada. Our plan for day 1 was to reach Vijayawada by night. Then next day we would travel to Vizag. We intended to stay a bit longer in Vizag to enjoy the place. And third night, we planned to stay at Bhubaneswar before reaching Kolkata by fourth night.

The Journey – Day 1

The journey began on 16th March just 4 days ahead of My husband’s birthday which is on 20th March. We thought it’s a great opportunity we will celebrate this time at kolkata 🙂

We preferred avoiding the metro city Hyderabad, because there were more reported cases of Coronavirus at that time.

So we took the Nellore route which was comparatively risk free. We were afraid about the road condition though on this route since it was not the common path to go via nellore. We checked multiple blogs and many of them did not recommend this route. We however, eventually found it to be quite nice rather actually contrary to the opinions we saw on online forums. It was mostly full of National Highways with few exceptions where we had to take village roads. And the village scenery was extra bonus. All the roads were more or less smooth and we could maintain a good pace. Here is my video blog of this first part of the journey. Check it out to understand road conditions in detail:

We took quite a few breaks on the way. Although we originally planned to start at 6 am, we finally could start from Bangalore at 9am .

Let me set out the expectation – we are the kind of person more towards the side of enjoying the drive rather exhausting ourselves with relentless journey. Our car was Maruti Swift Dzire regalia edition and we have decided to take a driver in such a long elaborated trip.

At around 10:30am, we stopped by at a highway CCD which had an attached petrol pump – we had our breakfast, took fuel and renewed our pollution testing certificate on that same station. It was a really good beginning of the trip the place was great, surrounded by mountains. Food was delicious but we had taken our precautions very seriously i.e sanitizing hands frequently , putting face masks tightly if there is anyone in close proximity. But you know what – the main beautiful part of a road trip is that you do not have to worry about missing out a flight – you can stop by as per your wish and spend some time as per your liking. Another huge advantage of road trip is –  things are under your control like we decided to stop by in comparatively low key quite places where human interaction was minimal. We were avoiding more popular crowded restaurants.

We always had a dream to explore India on a road trip but the opportunity came finally during a pandemic. Although we had taken extreme protection throughout the travel, we decided that a few breaks and visiting some less crowded local places on the way wont hurt. And we could not allow this dream journey to be not least enjoyable – isn’t it!

In evening of day 1, we crossed Tirupati. I was surprised how quickly we could ome to Triupati from Bangalore, but somenow never had managed to come over to this place of religious significance in our faith. By this time, Tirupati board had decided to shut down Tirupati and hence the place did seem to have a deserted look. I am sure in a normal situation, a place like that must be thronged by huge mass of people. We crossed Tirupati, and we decided to stop by a roadside as we recalculated our plan. As per the time, it was becoming impossible to fathom that we will be able to make it to Vijayawada.

By the time we crossed Tirupati it was almost dark. We stopped on roadside to enjoy the sunset view on the way near Kalahasti. The sun was setting over the mountains and it was a divine view to say the least.

We decided to have our late lunch cum evening snacks at Kalahasti. Kalahasti is a temple town in Chittoor district situated midway after crossing Tirupati. I did not know of this place but it seemed like a place which is also quite famous for Hindu shrines. Lot of people were in the area and the place looked busy. Our driver told us that many people who intend to visit Tirupati, they book hotels in Kalahasti as lot of good hotels are available in this at a much cheaper cost. We wanted to go to the most popular hotel called MGM Grand in Kalahasti for the food. But when we reached there, the MGM Grand staff told us that the restaurant is not serving food so late in the day and they will resume serving again after another hour or so. We could not delay that much and decided to move on to another nearby hotel called Hotel Riverview. It turned out to be a neat little restaurant. We initially thought it to be just a small restaurant, but later we understood it to be a part of a much bigger hotel which had a nicely decorated garden inside.

After having food at Kalahasti, we proceeded towards Nellore. We decided not to drive past 9 pm.

We had booked our accommodation at a hotel named Royal palace. Nellore town has very few good hotels and this seems to be one with reasonable cost for a night stay. The staff did help us in taking the luggage from car to the room. The receptionist was a bit worried about if we are married or not and needed to see our ID proofs etc. to be confirmed. While that felt bit odd, I guess it was his job to do so. The hotel had elevators and the rooms were clean. We changed the bedsheet and pillow covers with the ones we were carrying. We sanitized door handles etc. before going to bed. We ordered some room service. It was a decent city hotel with clean room and good food. We had chicken curry rice with eggs, Dal Tadka and butter Naan and ended our day with a perfect good night sleep.

Day 2 – From Nellore to Vizag

We woke up at 6 am and started a little early because we had to cover a long distance today, at least up to Vizag if not upto Gopalpur in Odissa. We decided to enjoy a beach destination on the way. Either Vizag or Gopalpur on Sea in Odisha.

We decided to skip the buffet breakfast at hotel to avoid using shared crockery and cutlery with other residents at the hotel. Instead we had bought some biscuits and chips on our way. We sort of tried to not stop for anything other than a lunch.

We went for lunch when we reached Vijayawada. We went to Paradise Biryani, one of the most famous chains of Biryanis in southern India. We took the chicken biryani and loved the taste. The place had quite a few people, so insisted on getting a secluded seating arrangement in order to avoid sitting with others. We sanitized our plates ourselves. We rubbed sanitizer and then cleaned it with tissue papers that we were carrying ourselves.

We constantly drove 900 kms without much break. We only stopped for tea at a roadside place. It was important that we reach Vizag by night. And we indeed were able to make it by night. At night, there was not much to see and we went straight to the hotel

At Vizag we stayed at the Hotel named “The Park” which was a lovely private beach  property. Since we could not go to any public beach places due to the corona virus fear, so actually it could be useful to stay at a beach resort with private beach. At least we can enjoy spending few hours relaxing by the sea.

The Park was having some wedding arrangements that time and the property looked even more beautiful due to the arrangement done by the wedding planners. We avoided people but enjoyed the property. Our day 2 video captured both the journey and our experience of staying at The Park Vizag hotel. You can also see how we enjoyed the beach within the property

Checkout our Day2 video here

Day 3

We woke up with a beautiful flowery view outside of our hotel window. We did not realize how beautiful it was on the previous night. But the daylight made us feel blissful in the morning.

We checked the beach from a distance and when we understood that practically no one was there on the beach, we decided to venture out to the beach. The beach was closed initially you need to call the gatekeeper and the person came and opened the gate so that we can access the beach property.

It was breathtakingly beautiful with a nice arrangement of rocks in the beach. One side beach was surrounded by the mountains and in the other end there was an old lighthouse . It was so beautiful.

Nonetheless we again skipped the standard buffet breakfast and instead ordered in-room breakfast and tea. We left hotel around 12noon.

We also checked out the famous RK Beach in vizag which was very nearby from our hotel. We stopped there, checked out the beach – but frankly speaking, I loved The Park’s private beach better.

We went further to eventually cross the Krishna and Godavari river.  We drove constantly till we crossed Andhra border and entered to Odissa in the early evening. We had a plan initially to halt at Gopalpura beach which I have heard is quite a nice beach.

We however had to ditch Gopalpur this time. Gopalpur is almost midway between Vizag and Bhubaneswar. And we decided that we have time to reach Bhubaneswar and we should try to do that instead of wasting another day just because of Gopalpur. I could come back to Gopalpur in my return trip is what I told myself.

There was a very important virtual meeting that I just had to attend. In the early evening, we therefore halted at a place to book a very cheap nearby hotel. The objective was to just attend this business meeting video call from there. The hotel was quite shabby and I was relieved to get out of their once my call finished. This delayed us a bit.

On the way to Bhubaneshwar in the dark of the evening, we suddenly realized that there is no locality around us for quite some time. Actually it was like 1 hour since we saw any roadside house or hut, it was dark thick forest like area all around us. Apart from street lights, there was no other light. We did felt a bit unsafe. At that time we were not aware that the road we are travelling through was basically a  dense forest called Tungey.  While there are not much wild animals, people have told us that the place is quite infamous for highway robberies etc. If we had known earlier, we might have rather stopped at Gopalpur.  Later we heard from locals about the incidents in that area. Thank god we passed through the forest without any incidents, but I would strongly advise you to cross this area before sunset or rather halt at Gopalpur.

We reached Bhubanewar around midnight and checked into a hotel named Oyo Townhouse. It was a good city hotel in the heart of the the town. My experience is good in this OYO, though normally I avoid Oyo hotels because they are “couple friendly” and therefore filled with shabby folks and dimly lit environments. But fortunately this hotel wasn’t bad. Staff were friendly and sophisticated. Room was tastefully furnished and offered amenities like AC, Card Payment, Geyser and a lot more.

We had a plan to start next day very early but eventually failed to do so.  And it was a good thing. We had been invited by one of our relatives, who were based out of Cuttack (Cuttack is 20km from Bhubaneswar). Initially we hesitated, because we had a plan to go into self quarantine for 14 days, after a long road trip like this, before meeting our family or loved ones. And they live with their kids. But eventually we changed our mind because they insisted so much with so much love. They genuinely would have felt bad if we did not go. We maintained human distancing and spent some good time in the morning.

We left their house at around 1pm after having a delicious lunch and drove another 6 hours to reach Kolaghat, West Bengal by the evening. We stopped by a roadside Dhaba. It was good in hygine and less crowded. We had tea in paper cups and some stacks.

From Kolaghat, it was a straight journey and we entered Kolkata through Bali bridge and Dakshineswar. It was a happy moment as we finally made it to our Home to our near and dear ones. We have our own flat in Kolkata, we went straight to that flat instead of meeting our family members. We were not sure if we were infected by corona virus or not. We did not want to take chances with our elderly parents. We self isolated ourselves for 14 days. Our family members did visit us (who can stop them!) but we made sure that they are staying far away from us for the first 14 days. After the 14 days, it was another happy moment when we went back to our parents.

We took a very early decision of moving to our hometown. And we are glad that we did it. There’s nothing more important than taking care of of your elderly family members and staying with them during a pandemic like this. I hope everything gets back to normal as soon as possible, but till then I am going to be protecting my family by staying closely with them.

Taj Palace New Delhi

Delhi is the capital city of the world’s largest democracy – India. This is one of the incredible cities in the world where UNESCO World Heritage sites like Red Fort, Qutb Minar, Humayun’s Tomb are standing side by side with its super modern metro and its gleaming and luxurious shopping malls.

So early January, 2020, I was invited to Delhi for a business conference .

I am sure you have gone through tons of blogs and watched series of travel videos demonstrating do’s and don’ts when you visit Delhi- specially if you are a foreigner to India. I am not going into that. I am here to review my stay at Taj palace , new Delhi – which is one of the luxury 5star hotel properties from the heritage brand Taj in India.

For any queries about Delhi please write back in the comment section, I’ll be happier to connect with you!

No India visit is complete without checking out it’s capital city Delhi at least once and getting emerged in it’s glorious fascinating history. Similarly if you want to enjoy the extraordinary Indian hospitality, opulent luxury and spicy royal food, then Taj ( a sub brand of the largest conglomerate Tata group of India) is known to be the best in the game when it comes to Indian chain of hotels.

In Delhi, Taj has two high end hotel properties namely Taj Mahal hotel and Taj Palace other than that IHCL(Indian Hotels Company Limited) own two more boutique hotels : Ambassador, New Delhi-IHCL SeleQtions and The Connaught, New Delhi – IHCL SeleQtions.

However, if you would like to experience the true classic royalty and iconic grand Indian luxury then make sure you visit one of the higher end palace hotels of Taj.

I stayed in Taj Palace New Delhi.

The hotel is situated right in the middle of the Delhi city. Sprawling over six lush acres in the midst of prestigious diplomatic enclave of new Delhi. Its amazing how a city that normally feels noisy and regularly shows up in most polluted cities list, looks to be full of greenery when you look out of the windows of Taj palace.

I booked the Taj club room package and stayed there for 2 nights. My check-in was a late night one as my flight started around 9pm from Bangalore. Taj offered a free pickup and to avail that I had already emailed them about my itinerary before boarding my flight. The flight reached a bit early than expected. Had to wait a bit on the airport, but the beautiful shops in Delhi airport kept me interested meanwhile. The chauffeur arrived with a nameplate to pick us up. He was courteous and took our bags the moment we met. I insisted him not to, but he was more persistent and I was tired. He was good in making conversations and was speaking fluent English. We discussed about Delhi and some surrounding familiar places as we were used to live in Delhi for 3 long years. The journey from airport to Taj was great and completed with a friendly chauffeur playing nice selection of north Indian bollywood music. It was almost midnight when I could reach the hotel. Hotel staffs promptly greeted us and helped us with baggage. The Lobby area was spectacularly opulent. Here I’m attaching some pictures for you

Driver helped us with baggage since parking was a bit far away

Pickup was in Luxury sedan – Mercedes Benz C class

Lobby area’s carpet covered huge staircase

I have some concerns about check-in experience however. It was okay-ish but not so great. We were greeted by staff at gate. And then we sat in the lobby. We waited for almost 15 mins before hotel staffs showed up there. We were escorted to the room by one lady . She was very skillful and humble. She gave us thorough demonstration about all the  entitlements of the Taj club room package e.g complimentary high tea, cocktail hours, free airport pickup by luxury sedan (which we had availed already) and early check-in and late checkout. Here I’m attaching the entire list for your understanding.

A glass of fresh orange juice was provided as a welcome drink.

I recommend you to book Taj club room package if you are on a #staycation  specially. Their early checkin late checkout facility is very useful. You can just book for 1 day and nearly utilize the  whole weekend by check-in at 9 am and late checkout upto 6 pm đŸ€©

We ordered room service on Day1 since I was very tired so wanted to enjoy the meal from the comfort of my room. The food was delivered by the hotel stuff on a decorative tray along with necessary plates and cutlery. However I need to mention, that the cost of the room dining food menu was exorbitantly high.

Room Dining Experience

The very next morning first thing that  grabbed my attention was the stunning room view. It was a swimming pool view surrounded by manicured garden enclosed inside hotel campus and beautiful lush greenery outside. It was a treat to the eyes and difficult to believe that so much greenery is there in Delhi !

The sitting area by the windows is very comfortable and well organized

Further adding to this view was the minimalist-yet-stylish  room interior. King size bed with all modern amenities like button controlled curtain, in room dining arrangement and glass walled bathroom.

The bathroom is also very spacious and beautifully decorated.

All marble flooring and marble build of the basin, bathtub etc. made for a luxurious feel.

In the afternoon from around 3:30pm they served High tea which comes as complimentary with a stay at the Club room. The tea lounge is located on the 7th floor. The decor was very elegant with huge chandeliers hanging from high ceilings with gorgeous decor. It is definitely worth a visit and I indulged some me time on the couches by the window with finest Taj tea which came along with finger sandwiches, delicious pastries and danishes. Here are some pictures for you :

Club lounge entrance – 7th floor

In around 7:30pm the same place was converted to a romantic cocktail bar and the bartender would readily prepare tastiest drinks as per your wish with unlimited hot grill veg/non-veg kebabs.

Spent an hour on the couches and watched movies on the big flat screen TV with a glass of mocktails.

For dinner they had multiple restaurants choices. I am an ardent lover of chinese food. I  went to the spicy duck restaurant to taste authentic Cantonese and  Chinese flavors.

Spicy Duck

We ordered Pan Fried Chili Garlic Noodles and Assorted Mushrooms in Black Sauce. The food was delicious. The ambience was both private and gorgeous (as you can check in the photos here). The staff were courteous and respectful. Overall, I had an wonderful fine dining experience.

Apart from this restaurant, there were

Orient express : European fine dining restaurant

Capital kitchen : Authentic Indian flavors , 24 hours restaurant.

Masala Bar : Famous for north Indian recipes.

Next day morning I had breakfast at the Capital kitchen with the view of the garden. Regardless to say the breakfast was an absolute delight. They had 3-4 live counters which were serving North Indian, South Indian and Continental options. So you could basically ask for whatever you could wish to have and they would make it fresh for you. Another eye catcher was the honeycomb on the table. Most of all, I specially loved to see that there were always someone from staff team to greet and ask if I needed anything. All you have to do is to indulge yourself 🙂

View from breakfast table

We spent the rest of the day exploring the hotel , clicking thousands of pictures and just taking everything in.

It was a trip to remember and worth every single penny.

I have created multiple vlogs documenting my experience at the place. Check them out and dont forget to subscribe me on Youtube. I keep on traveling to interesting places and have started to regularly create vlogs on them.

3 P’s of Successful Entrepreneurship-Planning, Passion, Partner

“As the Founder of The Body Shop, I often get asked to talk about entrepreneurship – even by hallowed institutions like Harvard and Stanford. It makes me smile that the Ivy League is so keen to ‘’learn how to be an entrepreneur, because I’m not at all convinced it is a subject you can teach. How do you teach obsession, because more often than not it’s obsession that drives an entrepreneur’s vision? How do you learn to be an outsider, if you are not one already? Why would you march to a different drumbeat if you are instinctively part of the crowd? “

–Anita Roddick

Although there is no “one size, fits all” theory for entrepreneurship, but in my observation the three raw essentials that determine success in any entrepreneurial venture is proper planning, Passion & Motivation, and finding appropriate business partner.

Planning:

Entrepreneurship is about building a business from scratch while managing limited resources (including time, money and personal relationships). It is a long-term commitment (like you would pick a spouse – assuming you are not a serial divorcee), so do not rush. Many people will advise that Entrepreneurs should be go-getters, they should take action first and later learn from mistake. I am not contradicting the fact but in my opinion planning for everything and having a ready solution for all possible risks may also prevent you from unforeseen circumstances and help you successfully launching your ideas.

Assume the Best; Plan for the Worst

—By Connor McDonald

Do a feasibility analysis; identify time and capital thresholds; take the deep dive with your limited resources. If your thresholds are crossed, look for alternatives and be prepared to take the next exit.

Passion:

If there’s one word that describes the fundamental trait in an entrepreneurship, it would be passion.

This one is tricky because it’s not clear whether passion causes success or success causes passion. Everyone assumes the former is true, but let’s be honest: it’s easy to get excited about a business that takes off, so the later may be true too. Still, success may take a long time, so you’d better at least not hate what you’re doing.

Partner:

The next big step is to find some soul mates to go on your adventure

Successful companies are usually started and become successful, with the contributions of at least two soul mates – think when Apple founded. There were Steve Wozniak(Who made the product) and Steve Jobs(who sold it).Founders need to complement each other to build a great organization.According to Sivers, the first follower plays an important role because he brings credibility to the leader.Subsequent followers emulate the first follower, not only the leader.

“The first follower is what transforms the lone nuts into a leader”

But try before you buy!

There are some critical considerations for choosing the Right Business Partner.

  • They should have similar vision or intuition regarding how the startup and market will evolve.
  • They should have the same expectation level regarding size of the business. Not everyone wants to build an empire. Not everyone wants a lifestyle business. There aren’t right or wrong, there are only expectations that match or don’t match. So, while starting, its nice if they are on the same page.
  • Founders should share the same level of commitment.
  • Founder and Co-founder should have different domain of expertise.

Finally,a few words of wisdom! Do not add founders to enhance fundability. The reason to bring in additional founders – and any other employee but especially founders – is to make your startup stronger and more likely to succeed. Ask yourself, “Would I hire this guy if we didn’t need funding?” If your answer is no, you’d be insane to hire him.

So get going. As long as you’ve a great idea(Planning) , team(Partner) , belief(passion) and the crucial ability to listen, learn and work very hard, you can become a successful entrepreneur.

The best way to reach them is where they spend a good bit of time… which is online”.

Customer Convenience :

Today’s consumers like their shopping experience to be quick and easy, which is why more and more consumers are turning to online shopping. Maintaining a business website will offer a more convenient way to shop for your customers. When is the last time you’ve ordered something by mail? Most reading this post might not even remember the mail order era, it was painful. Today, commerce and information is immediate.

Improved Customer Service :

Usually a business web design will include a contact us section that gives your customers instant access to ask a question, or notify you about a problem with your goods or services. This gives you the ability to provide instant feedback to the customer and improve your customer service satisfaction rate.

There are multitude of reasons for taking your business online. Without a website, it will be difficult to remain competitive in today’s market and generate more customers. Business websites are also easy to setup and maintain. If you don’t have a website, leave us a comment and tell us how you are doing business.

If you look ahead to the end, and all the weary miles between, with all the dangers you might face, you might never take that first step.  And whatever it is you want to achieve in life, if you don’t make the effort, you won’t reach your goal.To become a successful person you don’t have to be an exceptional high-achieving superhuman but its like ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
